Support workers also provide knowledge that hospital staff cannot instantly replace: how someone communicates, what is normal for them and what keeps them safe.

Call the Senators who represent your state and ask them to reject the National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026. Tell them not to amend it or try to make the cuts look safer - vote it down.
The Bill cuts disability support before real replacement services exist, pushing the work and cost onto hospitals, nurses, families and disabled people.
Protect nurse and health workers jobs - protect disabled people and their families!
